There is something about slowly sliding an inky brush across a textured surface that’s a balm to my soul. Not-so-patiently waiting to see how the color changes as it dries, adding more layers of ink, visually mimicking the rhythms of life and nature, one on top of the other, a constant experiment, moments in time, a collection of work, from the collective experience.

Leaves rustle across the sidewalk as a steady breeze blows from the northeast, shifting the light and colors. Early sunsets, old fashions, cozy blankets, late sunrises, strong coffees, hot showers; a time for peaceful introspection, listening to the whispers of our souls. Long walks, wind-bitten cheeks, wool socks, chapped lips, red knuckles, layer upon layer; being outside, letting nature’s vibrations attune us to the rhythms of the world, reminding us of the beauty and wonder surrounding us.

is a New York City-based artist who creates modern abstract paintings inspired by nature and personal experiences. Her art reflects the rhythm of emotions and sensations we encounter daily.
My painting style blends modern nature, rhythms, and bashi. Nature offers peace and tranquility, and my paintings are often an ode to the sun, moon, water, and mountains. I simplify the complexities of life through broad strokes and simple shapes, at times creating movements to evoke the intertwined rhythms of our environment and lives.
