Funabashi Studio is the ongoing practice of Kelly Funabashi, painter, illustrator, and observer based in Astoria, Queens.

The work spans fantastical abstract landscapes, botanical field studies, figure drawings, and illustration — built on a prolific daily practice and an eye that never stops looking. Curious, passionate, and hardworking, Kelly moves between watercolor, pastel, colored pencil, foraged inks, and Procreate with the same rigor and restlessness.
